People Against Tyranny Racism Oppression Lowliness (PATROL) initiative is our Order outreach initiative form to fight against poverty, racial and ethnic injustice. PATROL in turn assists all initiatives that our Order sponsors such as Peter Ogden Day, Ruth Day, Thanksgiving service, Founder Day, Youth Day, and Field Day. They would work together on the Men Against Negative, Leading Adolescent Defining Years, Octoberfest, Snuggles, I.O. of P.O.F. Icon Awards.
In addition, the PATROL initiative allows our Order and partners to have better insight on the issues concerning our communities and society itself. The PATROL initiative works to equip our Order and Community by: Prepare individuals for work through job placements through local business affiliates, and contacts. Empower individuals for success through networking through local churches, local community colleges, and schools. Supporting ex-offenders in employment, training, and transitioning them back into society by directing to the proper resources in the community.
- Conducting training for a network of leaders to be advisors for our initiatives.
- Conducting resolutions training for conflict identification and resolution.
- Conducting events, and award programs to foster hope within our society.
The People Against Tyranny Racism Oppression Lowliness is overseen by our Order of Legislation and State of the Order. The PATROL Program Chairman shall always be chaired by a member of the Order with a Co-Chairman who is not part of the Order this would foster a partnership with our Order and the communities we serve. The committee itself shall be a mixer of members from the Order and other leaders within the given areas. This program can only be active in areas where there is an Odd Fellows Lodge or Household of Ruth.
