Order of Ruth

The Duties of the Order of Ruth are to faithfully and fully participate in the advancement of family and community life; to enlarge the spirit of active interest, mutual cooperation, and benevolent service; and to extend the hand of relief wherever needed. The Order of Ruth stands firmly bound in the sacred ties of fellowship and is divinely blessed with the abiding gifts of Peace, Happiness, and Prosperity.

The Order of Ruth Vineyard (Chapter) shall be composed of faithful and financial members who have attained the age of sixteen (16) years or above. Any Worthy Noble Grand desiring admission must have reached the age of eighteen (18) years, be in good standing, and hold honorable membership within their respective Orchard (Lodge).

Every applicant seeking admission into the Order of Ruth shall be received with due regard to the dignity of the Order and shall be referred to the District or Grand Order of Ruth, or to the United Committee of Management, for proper examination and admission in accordance with established laws and usages.

Applications desiring to open a new Vineyard of the Order of Ruth must first hold good and regular financial standing within the Order. They are enjoined to organize an association for the noble purpose of securing worthy members, obtaining full and proper information, raising the necessary funds, and making all due preparations for the consecration and opening of the Vineyard. The Order of Ruth shall labor steadfastly in rendering aid and assistance to its members, their families, and the community at large, through works of relief and such additional services as may be required.

Any State desiring to establish a Grand Order of Ruth shall be required to possess not less than three (3) duly constituted and active Vineyards of the Order of Ruth, in good and regular standing, before a Grand Vineyard may be opened and chartered.

The Order of Ruth shall be composed of Ten (10) Regions, each duly constituted and recognized under its authority. These Regions are hereby designated as follows:
