The I.O.P.O.F. Turtles is the official Friendly Society and social fellowship division of the Improved Order of Patriotic Odd Fellows. Established for adults twenty-one (21) years of age and older, the Turtles provide an enjoyable and welcoming environment where individuals can come together for friendship, recreation, community service, and charitable giving.
The Turtle symbolizes endurance, wisdom, stability, longevity, and perseverance. Though the turtle moves steadily rather than swiftly, it always reaches its destination. In the same spirit, the members of the I.O.P.O.F. Turtles believe that consistent acts of kindness, fellowship, and service can create lasting change within families and communities.
The purpose of the I.O.P.O.F. Turtles is to unite men and women in a spirit of friendship and enjoyment while raising funds to support youth education, youth sports, mentoring initiatives, scholarships, community programs, and social service projects sponsored by the Improved Order of Patriotic Odd Fellows.
The Turtles prove that service and fellowship can go hand in hand. We believe that helping others should not only be meaningful—it should also be enjoyable.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the I.O.P.O.F. Turtles is to create opportunities for fellowship, recreation, charitable service, and community engagement while generating support for programs that uplift youth, strengthen families, and improve communities.
Through organized activities, social events, fundraisers, community partnerships, and volunteer service, the Turtles seek to build friendships that last a lifetime while making a positive difference in the lives of others.

A local Turtle chapter is known as a Pond.
A Pond serves as a gathering place where members unite for fellowship, service, and community engagement.
Opening a Pond in your area allows you to:

WHO CAN JOIN?
Membership in the I.O.P.O.F. Turtles is open to adults twenty-one (21) years of age and older who possess good character and a desire to support the mission of the organization.
The Turtles welcome individuals from all backgrounds.
Race does not matter.
Religion does not matter.
Profession does not matter.
Economic status does not matter.
What matters is your willingness to participate, support others, and contribute positively to your community.
Members are expected to abide by the rules, regulations, policies, and governing procedures established by the National, District, and Local bodies of the I.O.P.O.F. Turtles.
